Flying Eye Design is the Seattle design studio of Jeff Forrest, along with a network of highly qualified specialists, that works with businesses, organizations and individuals to develop smart and effective design solutions. Our professionalism and skills lend themselves to corporate clients, while small companies and individuals appreciate our approachability and personal attention. Flying Eye Design has served an ever-growing range of clients and companies, all with their own unique visual style.

We use the power and effectiveness of beautiful design to help you succeed in the marketplace, specializing in: brand and logo development, websites, digital based applications, branded merchandise, and print media in all of its forms. We also develop signage and large format marketing tools. Need a product label? Yeah, we’ve got that covered too.

Great design begins with the client-designer relationship. We believe that communication and the relationship between the designer and client are just as important as the design itself. Flying Eye Design is the perfect option for businesses and individuals that appreciate the benefits of working closely with an experienced designer without the overhead and complexities that come from working with a large design firm. Our independence allows us to embrace a wide range of creative work, while maintaining an accessibility and openness that larger firms can’t provide; we keep it simple, efficient and as often as possible, fun.

Transparency and honesty are integral to the way that we approach projects. Whether it is about the method, costs involved or best practices, we are always looking out for the client’s best interests, their budgets and the best way to get the most out of any project.

Jeff Forrest

Owner and

Creative Director

I opened Flying Eye Design in 2007, just in time to run headlong into the Great Recession that began the following year. But what appeared to be bad timing actually worked to my advantage. Low overhead and the willingness to work with customers that were facing their own economic challenges created the opportunity to fill a space that the larger firms could not or would not take on. The skills developed during that time are the basis for the personal, one on one, services that continue to be provided today.

I’m a graduate of the University of Montana and The Art Institute of Seattle. I’ve been a creative type my whole life. Whether it is playing music, taking pictures, or exploring a variety of visual applications, I have always been passionate about seeing the world through the appreciation and exploration of creativity. As a designer, I’m able to combine my love of being creative with the exciting challenges presented by the projects on which I work. In addition to my design work, I’m also a pretty decent guitarist, a competent photographer, and an absolutely horrendous fisherman.

With many years of creative industry experience, I’ve built a strong network and enjoy supporting clients, serving as their creative director, and acting as a liaison to other vendors – printers, developers, search engine experts and online strategists, etc. Working one-on-one with my clients, a scalable and effective team will be assembled to suit their project’s specific creative needs.

Branding & Logo Design

Logos are the visual mark of a company, and the brand sets the tone and shapes the company’s public persona. Create a memorable and effective visual identity.

Brochures, business cards, annual reports, postcards and just about anything that can be created when you put ink on paper.

Web & Digital

Websites, emails and social media. Your online presence is quite possibly the most important way you connect to customers.

Embroidered ball caps, bottle openers, t-shirts, dog bowls. Add your art and it becomes a long lasting marketing tool.

Signage, trade show items, vinyl banners, window promotions, vehicle graphics and a variety of large format presentations.

Labels & Packaging

Great labels have great power. Customers are swayed by the visual presentation of a product in the marketplace.
